Some fine CanCon for the holidays.  There was a fantastic period in the mid 90’s where MuchMusic actually played music.  Also, the music was actually tolerable. Imagine that?

Hayden – Bad As They Seem

One of my top 5 shows was a Hayden show in a Montessori school gym during a blizzard.  He’s still got it, and his shows are worth every dollar.

Rusty – Misogyny

I recently satisfied my 11 year old self and went to see Rusty play. I’ll leave it at that.

Treble Charger – Even Garble

At one point, Grieg Nori wasn’t totally embarrassing. One of my first shows was a Treble Charger show in a hockey arena. I’ve also got a story about how Treble Charger were supposed to play a skateboard demo in my home town, but didn’t. Then my friend Adam skated naked for a beer, slammed and cut his ass. But that story is long, and goes nowhere

Sloan – The Good in Everyone

I’ve been to no fewer than 6 Sloan shows in my lifetime, and I’ve walked out of everyone of them about 3/4 of the way through.  It’s nothing against the Sloan (they’re great) or their performance (also great) It’s just become a thing that I do.
