Here are 5 things you’re likely to hear me drone on and on about lately if you’re unlucky enough to have a conversation with me.

1. The new Lawrence Arms album Metropole – My second favourite Chicago trio’s new album is out, and is amazing. Easily their best work, and definitely a top album of 2014.

2. Against Me! – Transgender Dysphoria Blues – Great record, and totally worth all the wait and drama that went into its recording.  Production is a little more stripped down from New Wave and White Crosses, but not stripped back to the ‘garbage cans for drums’ days of AM!

3. Dan Ozzi’s tweets.

4. Crusades – Sounds like a mashup of Fireside Bowl era Alkaline Trio and All Hallows Era AFI.
